This Cookie Policy explains how Morning Ledger Pro uses cookies and similar storage on morningledgerpro.pro. It should be read with the Privacy Policy. We keep the set small. We do not run advertising pixels, social plugins, or third-party analytics on this newsroom site. Google Ads, if it measures a click that brought you here, does so on Google’s side; we do not place that pixel ourselves.

1. What we store

When you choose “Accept all” or “Essential only” on the banner, we save that choice in localStorage on your device under a key used only by this site. That storage is essential: it remembers your decision so the banner does not block every article. It does not contain your name or email. Clearing site data for morningledgerpro.pro will show the banner again.

The contact page loads a Google Maps pin for 48 Robinson Road so you can see the newsroom location. Google may set its own cookies on that embed. The street address stays on the page, and a noscript link opens Google Maps in a new tab.

2. Why we use them

Essential storage exists so we can respect a refusal of functional cookies without asking on every click. Functional Maps cookies exist so visitors who want a pin on the newsroom can see it. We do not use cookies to personalise advertising, to follow you onto other publishers, or to sell a profile. We do not drop cookies because a headline was opened.

3. Duration

localStorage persists until you delete it. Google’s cookies on the Maps embed follow Google’s durations, which can be session-based or longer. We cannot edit Google’s cookies from our pages. You can block third-party cookies in your browser; if you do, the map may not load even after “Accept all”.

4. How to change your mind

Delete site data for this origin, or use your browser’s cookie and storage controls. After you clear storage, reload any page and the banner will return. There is no separate advertising opt-out because we do not run advertising cookies. Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not used as a substitute for the banner; we still wait for your click before loading Maps.

5. What happens without JavaScript

Articles, legal pages, and the enquiry form work without JavaScript. The cookie banner uses JavaScript. A plain link to Google Maps is provided for readers who browse with scripts off.
